I Dream / A Dream / In Sleep

I Dream / A Dream / In Sleep

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

3 Haikus

"

I Dream

Sleepless and lovelorn

wishful pining for the truth,

hoping vividly.

A Dream

To keep promises

enthusiastic as war,

men at last needless...

In Sleep

cradled in silence

a loud mind coelesces

with the universe.

it is one thing to put the syllables in their rows...that's like putting your shoes on correctly; but to fill the lines with meaning grown ripe, where sweet understanding shines through, that's the hi in your haiku...
