My Keeper

My Keeper

A Poem by Vincent Cuccolo

A full house faraway

Slowly taking shape

Drink in these azure eyes that welcome

Hands that prompt to let go

Wings as white as snow

Clutch now onto your cure

Through love your demons have bled

So find a feather bed

And claim your perch among the sky

Take on a red heart’s glow

Be my keeper so I’ll always know

You’re just a shining star away
