Hell's Tenth Circle

Hell's Tenth Circle

A Poem by Poetic Angel

Beatrice
my Beatrice
pleading with the Poet God
to save me from the dark
through nine circles of hell
I crawled with tear drops
staining every step
but Dante I shall not be
unrequited you will not be
Beatrice
you are not
Raychel Rachel
the name screaming in my veins
the part of me that's best
bereft of you
I shall wither
wearing the mask of pain
Woman
Angel
Demon
Muse
Beauty
Grace
Imperfect
Perfection
all that is good
the only right
for whom I'll cross
Hell's tenth circle

Well done, Urban Nomad!
