Memories of You

Memories of You

The loss of a Grandparent

Memories

Memories of you linger in our spirits
As sorrow fills our hearts with tears.
We savor the moments we spent together
While remembering all the years.
We rejoice in the thought
Of you singing in Heaven,
With your guitar in your hand.
We stand in unison as we celebrate
The memory of a great man.
And as our hearts start to mend,
We know the heavens gained an angel
As we all have lost a husband,
A father, a brother, a grandfather
A friend…

My Grandpa just recently passed and it has been a bit of a trying time, but he was a man of strong faith. The memories of him preaching and just in church in general help to ease my heart because I know that he is in a better place...R.I.P. Bishop Richard Collins...

What a beautiful expression of love and faith. It is so hard to lose someone so close, so dear, yet there is a joy that flows deeper than the sorrow when you realize the one you love is in the embrace of heaven now. Your words lift and bring such honor to the precious memory of your grandpa.
