Possibilities

Possibilities

A Poem by Nancy A Halbert

I spotted a soul there
Underneath the briar wood and brush
And so attracted by the beauty and possibilities of love
I went in.
I saw a face so angel like
I was sure was pure
Until I was entangled and submerged without gills
Everywhere the stench of death

Heeyyyyy !! This is no fair !
It's like when you take the last of the beautiful cake out of the fridge - the last piece that you could taste before you even take it from the box coz - salivating
AND THEN !! You see it has that fuzzy blue stuff - and the fuzzy blue stuff is having a party ON YOUR CAKE !!
Ugghhh -
Great twist piece poetlady
