World Peace

World Peace,
What a lovely cliche.
Something that many dream of,
Yet it seems so far away.

Will we ever have it?
Will it ever come?
Oh the turmoil war has caused,
It can never be undone.

Is money really worth it?
All the hurt and pain?
Third World countries suffering,
Will people see peace again?

Is war the answer?
To liberty's and freedom's ring?
Peace should dominate the world,
Why is it a distant thing?
