V.A.L.E.N.T.I.N.E

A Poem by Yellow Butterfly

Visceral feelings start to stir

Arousing me from my slumber

Lascivious thoughts seeping in

Enamoured unable to utter a word

Nostalgic doses of you on my mind

Thoughts controlled by wanton desires

Immerses me until my body is weakened

Nourishing me from deep inside your soul

Euphoric from your salacious touches

I love acrostics! I used to do them quite a bit & this one has everything I need . . . the beginning letter of each line does not distract from the line . . . it doesn't feel like the line was contorted to end up with the desired letter at the start. I love how your message flows with passion & convincing heat. I am of the belief that we poets should identify the form "Acrostic" but not go to extremes to show that we've adhered to the rules (the red, a bit much!) I feel the same way about writers who BOLD the words in a ten-word challenge. At the end of the day, it's the message, not the form that should stand out (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Nice idea, with some romantic and passionate thoughts to complement the photo... The physical effects of passion are hard to capture in a controlled way but you manage to plumb the deep satisfaction of the sexual pleasure of a desirable lover... the euphoria of touch, the arousal of lascivious thoughts.

An acrostic valentine here. Have never seen one before. Have never seen a valentine this hot, either.

So fitting and worthy of Valentines. Every line touches on the pure aspect of romance. You leave the reader in a euphoria to read more and anticipation to witness more. All cascading in free thought. Kudos.
