Festival Ready

Festival Ready

A Poem by Yellow Butterfly

She whispers..
“catch you on the
next wave Summer”
as it finally breezes by
In the blink of an eye
Soaking in the last
bits of September sun
a new season arrives
Autumn leaves turn brown
Unexpected sun rays
beaming before the
sun goes down
Where everything
bursts with its last beauty
As if nature had been
saving all year for
this grand finale
Skies turn red
all being said
She hears the sounds
of the music, chatter
and laughter from
the crowds
Different groups
of people talking
really loud
Drinking is their
common denominator
She goes by unnoticed
like an invisible spectator
Whilst children play
waiting to have
their turn on
the Fairground rides
or playing the game where
one runs and hides
Her emotions are
peaked for it is
he…she seeks
She doesn’t hang
around…she slips
through the crowd
Unnoticed…just her
and her string guitar…
holding tight to her
Summer hat..a gentle
breeze flutters by
Secure in the notion
she knows ‘Love’
has no time limit
There are no rules
but for what it’s worth
her heart knows
he has her heart too!

A social meander full of others; sounds, thoughts gentle and deep of and from you: extraordinary in how you;ve laid the two hip to hip.
'.. she slips- through the crowd- Unnoticed…just her- and her string guitar.. holding tight to her
Summer hat..a gentle breeze flutters by - Secure in the notion - she knows ‘Love’ has no time limit - Thre re here are no rules .. .. '
For me, those lines are the core of a beautifully phrased poem. Sighing, understanding..
Keep safe. please

quite a "festival" of words, imagery and feelings. a changing of the seasonal guard but love "has no time limit" as you say. great flow with an "awwww" ending. true love doesn't change. pleasantly touching piece. very cool ... :)

Wow!! I can definitely relate the hidden message or as so I interpreted. You live and thrive in the ambiance but rather walk amongst the crowd as just another, your relevance is relevant and opinions although appreciated are not the reasons for your expressive writing. I appreciated your visual concept. It gave your piece a colorful poise something to be related..

Your lines are beautiful. Not only do the visuals come through strongly, but also a feeling that the season is changing, yet all is well. Love is still alive. Thank you YB for sharing.
