Redwood Forest

Redwood Forest

A Poem by SleepiePenguin

I can think of nothing else this very moment,
besides two very different things:

I think of how much my love for you has grown.
It has grown as tall as a redwood tree,
but yet--

My mind wanders off into the part where I have been hurt--
as if to remind me that leaves can't fix such pain.
So here I am, lost in a redwood forest.

I believe there is a time in everyone's life where they have to make a choice, to remain in the dark or walk into the light, this is one of those poems that brings this to mind.

Good poem but I don't understand the part about "leaves can't fix such pain".
