His Words

His Words

A Poem by Dhara_Ditzy Kat
"

Hypothetically yours...

"
Words, blunt as hammers on bones
Sharp as flesh cutting stones
Formed from tumults within
Debris of tempests full blown

Those words like fleeting birds
Of the bluest blue kind
Staying perched upon the edges
Of the darkest panes of my mind

Words, in broken, truncated lines
Battling, contending with mine
As a troubled man in them, fumbles
For a lost woman in me, who stumbles

Words, graceless, biting, coarse
In tones terse and unappealing
Constrained in them, weeping
A thousand voiceless feelings

Words in verses stiff and unrhymed
Unforgiving, sad, often ill-timed
Words bled in the morning hours wee
Words that were meant only for me

Words, simple words and yet they can wield so much power. They can slice and dice or spread like honey, plus everything else between. And yet every poet needs them like the air they breathe. That is where you took me Ditzy. Here kitty, kitty you deserve a treat for this one

This is a brilliant, powerful & inventive way to say that we all suck at communication in relationships many times. You describe one of the universal curses of so many relationships here. Becuz you use analogies & imagery, your intense details can apply to all kinds of communication dysfunctions. Each reader can read into this as they have had such experiences. Great way to present an interactive poem! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A very enjoyable poem. Words can bring smiles or tears or something in between. I always hope for smiles. :)

Aren't words so powerful? Lift you up, send you back down.
Wrong word at the wrong moment. Oh man, can be a killer.
But I find this very uplifting. you have excelled in making me sad.
Probably need to go and kill somebody now.

A poem of definite hypotheticals, this one.....

Sometimes words spoken or written poetically have an underlying hidden meaning. Only the inept poet ( if one can truly call them poets, and there are many here!) writes the complete truth on the page. The skilled can mask the toughest of emotions with the simplest words. Poems may not always mean exactly as they appear. So "His Words", whether spoken or written may not truly be as harsh as they sound to the feline ear. Something to muse on.

A nicely written poem. Some lovely imagery and rhyme throughout. Very well done since it is difficult for a clawed feline to type on a keyboard!
