WHY ME? WHY NOT YOU!

WHY ME? WHY NOT YOU!

A Poem by Enchantment
"

I'm must have another surgery on my spine,( my 6th). So this is my response.

"
I ask my self, "Why Me?", as I look heavenly.
A small voice inside my head whispers, "Why not you!
You're no one special. You're not above anyone else.
I say out loud quietly, "So now what?"
PRAY, HOPE, BELIEVE."
Salty tears slowly runs down my cheeks as I lower my head in prayer.

I prayed for strength to believe in hope.

The agony you feel is apparent; you will find hope if you look hard enough. I hope all goes well!

Our inner voices are parts of our minds, I believe we have many minds, all competing for the attention of the whole.

When ever I'm told I need another surgery, I must be by myself first until I internally listen to my inner voice. Once I've done that, only then can I talk with my husband and son about my feelings and their feelings. And then I keep myself mentally busy so not to think about what ifs.

Take care of yourself Sam.

I'm with you, having had two open heart surgeries and countless procedures. It's what we have to endure--if not for ourselves, then for others.
