Refusing Normality

Refusing Normality

A Poem by Triston Taylor

I've seen people build themselves then break it down. I've seen people instantly go from smile to frown. The human race is a funny species. Millions of people with different destinies. People fighting sickness and death. People destroying the air that gives them breath. I have observed you for 17 years. I know your past, preasent, and future fears. I can tear s**t apart country by country. I am not human nor will never be. To be human is to let go of morals. To be human is to obey without using vocals. To be human is to be a slave. To be human is to be beat when you don't behave. For these reasons I will never be human. Call me a alien, Angel, or demon, but I am not a man. I can not stoop to society's laws. I will not forfeit my skills and flaws. For these two thing are what define me different. These two things help me keep you distant. I will show my raw tallent through words in the night. Hopefully you'll break your chains and gaze through my sight.
