Sit and Wonder

Sit and Wonder

A Poem by Meg Craft
"

A picture says a thousand words but a mirror screams a million more.

"

I often sit and wonder

Of what you think of me

Since I’m aware of how I view myself

Might not be what you see

Frizzy hair and a crooked smile

Scarred skin and heavy eyes

A blurry mind and slow tongue

All of which I do despise

A picture says a thousand words

But a mirror screams a million more

Still, I wonder what you see

If you look deep enough to the core

It may be a bit idiotic

And I probably shouldn’t care

But I often sit and wonder

What you think when I’m not there
