poisonetry

A Poem by R.G. Johnson

is not poetry
governing liquid souls by tides of reason   love wrists jeopardized by sex

razors utilitarian rewards for quixotic notions   maritime kicks of zodiac

versification   money-fucked social gangsters   formally pimp-tossed

literary pounds of prose   Still wit  180 literary degrees    cursive peacock

s**t   desirably delivered spiritualistic cream sauce    respect for anything
is not poetry
succulent nature displays    cutting words that bleed causes    fundamental

God language    handless reaching    healing tongues that slobber sexual

attention    mother elements of Freudian holes   useless essential similarity

emotionalized roses   tapestry of terminologies   bored privilege   Pope

elevated prophecy   prose-plus-special-effects
is not poetry
face, feelings, genitals, guts and logic   mind masturbation devices   moral

battery sold separately   color spectrum lollipops   skyscraper monologues
iambic taps on high brows    hyperventilating molestation of senses   lonely

furniture   dancing foliage   curdled sounds   talking animals   rhyme   empty
cans   thrusts of hips and lips   lively death or joyful sorrow
is not poetry

some little known poet tells me on a regular basis that "art is sex". Your words brought to mind his philosophy. I like the title. It was what drew me to the words to begin with . . . when I finished reading the poetry I went back to it and tasted the word again . . . poisonetry. Nice stuff. Something I could visit over again on another day.

It's all over the place, but I imagine that this is the point. Interesting write. Lots of imagery. Poetry or not.
