Blessed by love

Tranquil cool water, ripples ever shorter, 

Steadying of the reflection, 

And high up above, floating free on love, 

I gaze upon your perfection. 

Though I thought it impossible 

You have calmed my turbulent heart 

And though I am blessed by our love

Deep down I know its just the start. 

Though fortuitous, they're truly joyous

These fulfilling feelings of ours;

Though it can confound, I'm so glad we're bound 

Buy this divine intervention. 

I had struggled in the raging 

Waters of life - couldn't contend 

Being hurt by people I loved -

So I am scared, I can't pretend. 

I may suffer fear but I need you near 

Because your love is worth the world;

You could destroy me, any way it be, 

But I will risk it all for us... 

                                     Because...

I'm head over heels about you

And, thought my vigour may surprise, 

Only through complete commitment 

Will we, bound hearts, together rise.

Been thinking about my poetry lately and I know most isn't of a high quality, so I've been trying to improve... any feedback - criticisms definitely included - will help we with this and will be greatly appreciated.

An open and honest love poem....more romantic than flowery words can be. Once a person has been through one or more bad relationships, good relationships are valued even more. Yes, any relationship requires complete commitment, no doubt about that. Two can be better than one if the two are truly committed to one another. I liked this love poem. Lydi**
