I am a Dreamer

I am a dreamer, I dream of sun

To conquer my dream, I am on a run

 

I am a dreamer, I dream of fun

To experience life, like I had a day to be done

 

I am dreamer, with glass dreams

Quite a few of them shatter, but I still dream

 

I am asked to be real, but its alright

I love my dreams better, they are my flight

 

Reality is what we have to deal

But dreams give me a fairy tale, I did like to steal

 

I seek no reasons, to colour the choice

Dreamy palette suits me just right

 

I dream of success, I dream of love,

I dream of hope, I dream of plight,

I dream of friendship, I dream of lie,

I dream of angels and devils inside.

There is no limit, there is no stop,

Sometimes I see my dreams bloat.

 

A thousand dreams, a thousand times

They shine with glee, they are soaked in pine;

As quickly they come, they fade away in time

Leaving me puzzled, are they ever mine?

My entire writing comes from dream journaling, and I often ponder whose dreams I'm living. Your poem is well written and entertaining. It made me wanna sleep but only so I could dream. But I guess that's the difference about being a writer. The average dream when they sleep, but to be an author you must dream when you're awake, and not just daydream that's for the undistinguished. I loved this piece, and I'm excited to read your others.
