Schizophrenic Brain Cells

Schizophrenic Brain Cells

A Chapter by Rachel Elizabeth
"

My English teacher's favorite poem of mine.

"
Take a rocketship to space,
but don't forget to take me with you.
And don't forget to push me out the door,
because I want to explode in the stars.
Only from lack of oxygen, though.
Can you see the way I do?
Can you see the world passing us by?
Can you understand that my brain isn't processing this?
Can you understand exactly why?
I think it's the disease.
Do you hear the music playing?
With a mechanical bass guitar?
Or is it a cello I hear?
Or possibly a harp?
Wait, you don't hear it, too?
Maybe it is just me.
But I can't be crazy!
I'll show you that I'm not,
I'll punch you in the face.
But I'm afraid you're my only friend,
And I don't want to clean up glass shards.
Are you mocking me?
Why do you copy my moves?
Oh... Why are you so still?
Is it because you're a mirror?
