UNTITLED

In this world full of chaos , we try to set our story in reality continuing that silent fight for the title of protagonist of our own untitled story. So basically the poem is all about that.

Above this ovoid earth, underneath that eternal sky

a story sets in,

a long journey with several characters

that silent fight for the the title of protagonist begins.

Yes, indeed you are that character

seeking a chance to set your story in reality,

with that slight expectation of connecting to every character

you try to remove the cloak of invisibility.

You tend to weave your life story into a magnificent fiction

though it's just a playful creation of your mind,

life might just be a series of episodes or a book with chapters

with that main plot harder to find.

You may not like what's inside your story 

but turning the page is the only way to move on,

at some point past will come to an end with elated tomorrow

just how that long night ends with beginning of the dawn.

Yes we want to be the main lead 

realistically in everyone's life 

but maturing is realizing that even the hero for villain is he himself

though for you he is an antagonist with a sharp knife.

Exploring others is not where fascination lies

as mystery lies within,

don't forget, you are the beginning and you are the end

because you are the story which you yourself begin.

Don't you dare compare yourself with others

try to build yourself as a protagonist,

not for the world but at least for yourself 

or else you will go white blind in that never ending mist.

Me as writer of this poem is just a normal side character

but it's just in your story,

as I already am a protagonist in my life

seriously waiting for my glory.

Like how each attempt that ends in a narrative derailment

somehow gives rise to a new perspective,

patiently awaiting for that serendipitous weather

our thoughts turn reflective.

Your story at some point definitely comes to an end

just make sure not to regret at last because the story can't be resettled,

baffled in such a huge world full of chaos you try to find yourself

however at the end your unfinished story remains UNTITLED.

I’ve seen quite a few poems and songs titled ‘untitled’ over the years, but I can honestly say that yours is the first and only one that I’ve personally seen that is done extremely cleverly and shall spring to my mind in future when I see ‘untitled’… I won’t give anything away here in the form of spoilers because it needs to be read in its entirety. Excellent.
