The works of a mind

The works of a mind

A Poem by HushChild
"

I wrote this about my highschool. It was lightly inspired by Merry Go Round by Kacey Musgrave.

Previous Version
This is a previous version of The works of a mind.

And she dared
To thin out her hair
Because she was scared
That people would care
When they would see
That the scale read "103"

And how much did you daddy pay
For you to learn to sing that way
To overshadow all of us
Who were self-taught in what we love

And who are you to think you're better
Just because you flaunt the leather
Of a highschool quarterback
Who won't be much more than that

And who are we to undermine
A students creative mind
Because her words may not seem right
So she'd much rather stay quiet
