Anatomy and Arsenic

A Poem by HushChild

A short poem about death, written in my Human A&P course.

While learning all about the heart
Each and every single part
I just want to end it's beating.

Simple, dark, gritty, but I quite liked this one. For some reason, this reminds me of the way that I feel about mudane life. There are some days, when I'm walking through a supermarket, making nice with people, smiling because I should, doing what I should...and I just want to stop and scream at the top of my lungs. Not sure why this reminds me of that, but it does.
