Silent Cacophony

Silent Cacophony

A Poem by Satan's Daughter

Desperate tears fall upon sunken cheeks
Words of anguish choke the air like an acrid fog
A girl
So broken inside
That the shards pierce her skin
Dripping rivulets of sorrow
Cries fall upon ears
Not deaf, but uncaring
Sleepless nights spent
Lying upon a tear-stained pillow
Wishing that she wouldn't have to wake up
Dreams of escape are her only solace
Illusions of a brighter world
She holds them close
As she slips away
Waiting to be saved

Wow beautiful, tragic and despairingly true.

No we can't but that's why we have those certain people so we don't have to. Great Poem. Very Relatable

Nice. I would change 'Wishing that she wouldn't have to wake up' to 'aching to remain in her slumber' or something like that. Otherwise, great.
