Balancing Act

Balancing Act

A Poem by Rachell R. Taylor

Life is a balancing act of spinning plates.

At times, things are constant, sure, graceful even.

Others are very doubtful; wobbly.

If these plates were people, some would complain of the constant struggle to keep going. How scared they are of falling. The rest would go on spinning, never worried of the ground, only twirling as they believe they were meant to.

Some fall right away. Some last the whole show, watching the rest go down before them. Eventually, they all fall and the show is over. Maybe some go down, but unbroken get thrown back into the act, changed now… either because of the second chance, or the glimpse at the glass below them.

The plates never see who put on the balancing act. Who kept ones going longer than others by talent or circumstance? They saw the sky or the floor.

“Look at that one go…”

It is very nice. Such a beautiful dream and what a masterpiece written on the basis of it. I guess you would like to format the lines in a different way thought. Right now some lines are written as if its one paragraph.
