I am thankful for both

joy and pain.

 

Joy nurtured me.

Pain ruptured me.

 

Joy pampered me.

Pain dampened me.

 

Joy relaxed me.

Pain stressed me.

 

Joy snuggled me.

Pain struggled me.

 

Joy taught me peace.

Pain taught me hope.

 

Joy showed me light.

Pain showed me dark and then light.

 

Joy made me strive.

Pain made me strive harder.

 

I am thankful for both

joy and pain.

In Zen it’s about pain and it’s solutions. The big question is what’s in the middle between joy and pain... I’d like to think it’s love, the embodiment of both ends of the spectrum. Well done!
