Melville Went Shopping.

Melville Went Shopping.
Melville is an unapologetic and tremendous sort of Fool.
A social experiment on the wing.
Adept at illustrating the vital importance of school.
Trial by Life being an unlikely, inattentive, and dubious thing.
I suspect Mother Nature's mind went for a wander.
As evidenced I've Melville for exhibit B.
While energetically dedicated to pause and often ponder,
I fear for Him in flight, in repose, or perched up in His tree.
I'm confident Persephone hadn't been told all the facts.
She doesn't strike one as terribly droll.
Instead of nesting, She's frustrated and often attacks.
Her barbs fueled by fire and lavish with evidence of Soul.
In contrast, Melville's parents excel at Life on the Fly.
A team of two working cleverly and hard.
A weather eye trained on their idiot Son wildly flitting by.
Having wisely suggested the newlyweds may enjoy nesting it their yard.
Persephone weaved the nursery while Melville popped out to shop.
How wildly optimistic she used to be.
I'm certain She'd beg Him to cease, desist, please stop.
He's best wear a helmet when distant from the safety of the tree.
Recall when He cheerfully wasted a day and then some.
Eager to please, support and placate Her.
With staggering pride He surprised Her with aluminum.
It was immediate and acute her compulsion to murder.
So quickly diving in then twice the speed dashing back out.
Melville's eyes now saucers of panic.
Oh how vividly and violently did Persephone shout!
Melville's escape fairly spectacular and comically frantic.
Each morning fueled by a vulgar voyeurism.
The neighbors a twitter in speculation.
What depth would Melville achieve, what delightful chasm?
All inappropriately a flutter with crass anticipation.
Seldom have a pair so quickly abandoned the honeymoon.
Persephone grown cutting in self defense.
War at Dawn and fair run ragged spot on daily by noon.
A miracle She's yet to spike His carcass in warning upon the fence.
