Whispers In My Head

Whispers In My Head

A Poem by Jenessa
"

Too many of us understand loneliness.

"
Alone
I hear the silent whispering
Of thoughts come unbidden
Secret caresses
Of suppressed desires
Voices of willfully forgotten things
They tell me what I should have been
What I could have changed
What-ifs fill the empty air
Where other voices should have been
I have no friends to confide in
No sympathetic ear
I can't abide the loneliness
It strangles out my voice
Crippled of my will to speak
I can't find anyone who will listen
Lost in the tempest
Of thoughts I can't control
I begin to understand
I can't change anything at all

About
I thought that interacting with other writers would inspire me to write more but it really hasn't. The odd poem still pops out though, I guess it's not completely gone in me. more..
