A Heart; Fevered

A Heart; Fevered

A Poem by Jenessa
"

This one hurts.

"

An unfurling flower of darkness,

The slip of a lie, unfounded,

A fear turned to fire,

Beguiling teardrops bright as cinders,

To the frail borderlands of my soul.

A firestorm of distrust,

A spreading malignancy of misery,

To a heart fevered and disillusioned,

Beyond the event horizon,

Of the cover of my laughter.
