Love

This is my take on what I think love is. I don’t know how close I am, but it feels right.

What is LOVE??
Officially it’s got many meanings.

Noun:
1. An intense feeling of deep affection.
2. A great interest or pleasure in something.
Verb:
1. Feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone).
2. Like or enjoy very much.

These are definitions of LOVE, but what is it really??

I’ve never felt love in any way other than the familial love.

However, I don’t think love can truly be described as just a feeling. It’s an action.

LOVE is the respect you treat your significant other with. LOVE is when your eyes light up with delight when you see them. LOVE is holding each other all night just talking about anything and everything. LOVE is knowing what the other is thinking just by looking at them. LOVE is the secret moments you steal when nobody is around. LOVE is the times you are caught staring at your significant other, because of the butterflies you get, just knowing they are yours. LOVE is doing the things you KNOW will make them happy. LOVE is devotion, emotion, passion, infatuation. LOVE is LOVE.

Those are interesting musings. But sadly love, you will often find in the human sense, is a four-letter word of convenience. For people, love is based on how useful you are to someone's plans.
