Closer

Closer

A Poem by Madison

I’m a little closer,
To what I want,
One talk; not quite enough,
Maybe one more, and I’ll be there.

I got a little closer,
I got a “closer than I was” answer,
I talked, and he listened,
Now we’re closer than before, but we’re not there yet.

I know what I want,
He knows what I want,
There is also less stopping us,
Now, we’re a step closer.

My answer; the one he gave,
“We’re testing the waters”,
“Ask again next week”,
Maybe then we’ll be so close, we can’t get closer.

Madison
I would like to say this is NOT about sex. I want him to be my boyfriend. I’m closer than I was last Friday(9/4/2020).
