Let Your Heart Be Broken

I was reading through the book of Joel last night after we read it at Bible study and it inspired me to write this poem!(I would suggest ya'll all read it and really get into the depth of it!) :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Let your heart be broken

 so God can come in

 

Let your heart be broken

and become His best friend

 

         A worldly heart will be filled with sadness

              but a heart for God will be filled with gladness

 

           We will be hurt, shunned and torn

               but we can be healed by the Lord of Lord's

 

              God will take your heart and make it whole

              You just have to practice extreme self-control

I agree completely! I have almost finished my study of the minor prophets and the whole theme really is Repentance, turning back to God, Punishment for sins yet God has not Forgotten nor forsaken you. I love in Amos how it states He will rebuild us through our ashes.

great job:) you really are blooming in your writing i am really enjoying watching you as you do so, a little pointer for future reference try and even out the beat, the amount of syllables can really change the whole feel of the peace. as for the actual message it was lovely, God will always come in and heal us whenever we need it, he is always there for us!! thank your for sharing this God moment you had with us, it was absolutely lovely:)
