Trouble with today? Today ain't worth living for. (2007- 8th grade)

A Poem by Heather Christine

The world's going crazy.
But, hey, it's the 21st century.
What do you expect?
No time for family.
No time for joy.
Always on the go.
The world is harsh.
Only getting worse.
Global warming, robbery, rape.
The list continues.
What matters?
Who can stop it?
We all make mistakes.
At least one.
We all go to jail. once.
To visit, behind bars.
We're not all bad.
Just human.
All connected.
Somehow.
Respect your body? Great!
People putting you down?
Not worth listening to.
Not wearing skimpy clothes?
Real respect.
Now that you know the troubles
What will you do?
