Like a razor through the heart of my fears(2007)

Like a razor through the heart of my fears(2007)

A Poem by Heather Christine

There's a place I always go.
Always will.
When I'm down.
No one can reach me there.
No one can touch me.

I just hide in the dark,
Close my eyes,
Count to ten,
I'm there.
Nothing scares me.
Can't tear me away.

Go to school.
Babysit.
Clean the house
No appreciation.
Just. Yelling.
So I go to a place of joy.

I just hide in the dark,
Close my eyes,
Count to ten,
I'm there.
Nothing scares me.
Can't tear me away.

Go to that place.
That makes you free
The old ball and chain,
disappears for me.
Free. Finally free.
I've relieved the pain.
Cut my chains.
Get rid of all worry
Fear, gone, for now.
But tomorrow it will return.
