Hollow Prayer

Hollow Prayer

A Poem by Catrin Gold
"

Not meant to offend, I was just having fun with it.

"

Our Father,

Our Father,

who art in heaven,

who art hollow,

hallowed be thy name.

we still believe thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy kingdom crumbled,

thy will is done

thy will has fumbled,

on earth as it is in heaven.

to earth as it crashed from heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

Give us this manufactured day,

And forgive us our trespasses,

and forgive us our prejudice,

as we forgive those

as we attack those

who trespass against us.

who trespass against us.

and lead us not into temptation

And lead us not into solitude,

but deliver us from evil,

but deliver us from ourselves,

for thine is the kingdom,

for thine is the power,

the power and the glory,

the fear and indifference,

for ever and ever,

for ever and ever,

amen.

Amen.

I'd love to hear some open-minded discussion about this, but seeing as I didn't mean anything serious by it, please don't take it too seriously yourselves.

You just attacked the Lord's prayer; i must confess though it was actually fun, but most people on earth are gonna criticize and shot you for this.... AMEN.
