Save me

Save me

A Poem by Soul Fire
"

This poem is about abuse. There is some mature contact, that some people may not be able to handle.

"
A girl with a million hidden scars,
Living In a world of large breasted women and fancy cars.

She lives in the darkness,
Accompanied by shadows.

Hidden away in the cracks on the floor,
She doesn’t know if she can take it anymore.

The scars on her wrists,
Don’t explain the ones within her soul.

Her life has a major twist.
The scars on her body,
The blood from her veins.
The hopelessness inside her,
The emptiness and pain,
Is all because of one man.

Who raised another,
And the ones who raised them too.

Taught to use,
Taught to abuse,
Taught to hurt,
And misuse.

Women.

Unfortunately,

She was abused.

Not once,
Not twice.

That would be morbidly nice.

But the uncountable times…

The lies.

Once, They had her tied.

The twisted sons of that man.

hurt her like no one can.

The objects they entered inside her,

The things they did to hide her.

Where they went?

Her place

Their place

His mothers room.

The girl they abused,
They left in gloom.

Her innocence,

Was certainly doomed.

Worst of all,

She knew these men,
A lifetime of knowing them.

People she trusted,
People she knew.
People she lived with.
Shared memories with.
People she loved,
And she thought they loved her too.
They said so at least.

She always asked…

‘’What to do?’’

The oceans of tears raced down her face,
The shock left her out of place.

Her innocence was M.I.A

Wherever they went they never stayed.

The sadist thing about this poem,
Is that things like this happen,
Even in your own home.

So stop this abuse,
The misuse,
And the overdose of pain.

Stop abuse,
Before another childhood is lost in vein.

 Soul Fire
This poem is based off of true events that sadly occur in this world. This is my way of trying to create awareness of abuse. There is some mature contact, that some people may not be able to handle.

This is...astonishing. It's so vivid and raw, and it is so well put together. It's hard to say it's beautiful because the subject matter is so serious, but the poem itself is wonderfully crafted. I like the rhyme scheme and the word choice. I think it really captures the pain of the subject of abuse.

Poems like this I can't say I love because it's a painful fact and a sad truth about the cruelty of our fellow human beings, but certainly reminds people who had forgotten or ignored issues such as this that not seeing it right in front of our eyes doesn't mean it's not happening.

It is depressing but has good message to it :)

This really hit home for me. I know a lot of people who have been through this, and it kills me to think that it actually takes place. Wonderfuly job writing about it, you portrayed a lot of emotion.
