Lie To Me

Lie To Me

A Poem by Chan

Tell me you love me.

That you'll never leave me.

Lie to me.

Make me want you.

Make me believe that you want me too.

Lie to me.

Let me believe that you'll always be there.

That you'll always love me.

Lie to me.

Pretend that I'm your only one.

The one who holds your heart.

Lie to me.

Wipe my tears away when I cry.

Saying you hate to see me upset.

Lie to me.

Promise me forever.

Then rip it all away.

Finally truth.

Enjoy my tears.

And prey on my fears.

Finally truth.

Hurt me like no one ever has.

Leaving me broken and sad.

Finally truth.

How could I get the lies confused with the truth?

How could I be so blind by love for you?

I've rarely seen such an accurate and vivid depiction of so many failed relationships, and never in so few and pointed words. This is great work.

I like this a lot. It has a soothing darkness that I find comforting. The things you can see when the world turns to twilight (not the book). Keep writing.

Anywho I love any writing that I can feel the writers emotions poured into the page
Keep up the good work!
