This is a great story. The prologue creates a mysterious tension of stark imagery and intense emotion. The story explores and releases the characters' tension as the story unfolds. The story does an effective job juxtaposing the present and past, exploring the timelessness between moments. The plot flashed back and forth like you are looking at the character and into his mind.
