Eye of the Storm

Eye of the Storm

A Poem by Tim Lawless

I await the end--sleeping in the eye

Of this ever-growing storm.

I await the reaping--falling at your

Feet to be reborn.

To be reborn or end this life

To be destroyed or make it right.

To be lost and never found,

To be buried in the ground.

Pull the trigger. Say it's over.

One step back or one step closer.

Are you really who you say you are?

I would never go so far

As to claim that you dissemble

But I see the way you tremble.

Pull the trigger. Say it's over.

One step back and two steps closer.

Still sleeping in the all seeing eye

Of the storm that is the end of all your lies.

When I read this, Tim, I sense lyrics for a song; I definitely could imagine this being be vocalized over top of music-Great job.
