InkHeart

InkHeart

A Poem by Rekain

My heart, as black as ink
Of which I dip my quill
As I sit upon this windowsill
And my emotions, let them spill
Let all I've hidden now be shown
Let my lies to all be known
And I shall reap what I have sown
Yet I can't bring myself to let
Others know the lies I've set
Despite my trust in those, cause yet
All my regrets and my fears
And my ever falling tears
That no one ever sees or hears
Because I hold myself in binds
Waiting for one who finds
What I've hidden behind these blinds
Who sees beyond my heart's black cover
Be it friend or foe or lover
I know with one there comes another
And when I find that one, I think
I can find myself the strength
To show my heart, without the ink.
