Here Lay Tewlate

Here Lay Tewlate

A Poem by Radad Ibn Nasir

Where did you go my poetic flow
My prophetic glow
My selected know
My all I sow?
Did you not hear
Of the rotted hare
Who would not dare
Face the bear?
For this is how your way
That fell from play
In such a say
As made of clay.
But you could not see
Beyond your "me"
Or over "thee"
To make sense of "we"
Just like the Bear
Who was just stuck there
Blind and unclear
He couldn't see just stare
This is how you are
My star
My scar
My "I'm sorry I wasn't up to par"
With no chance to survive
The first thing to arrive
And you flee before the rise
Of the first thing to arise
The Hare was scared by the sight
Of the Bear whose look was might
And neared torment at night
Held the Hare in fear alright.
Now together these two creatures did die
why?
Side by side
Not a one would confide
The Hare scared
The Bear denied
Now I say
My love
I pray
For ease
To find you
release
of confined doom
and peace
from asylum.

About
A voice without a canvas is just an echo heard throughout time. Sometimes children ask me to play, so I play. The elderly beckon with wisdom and I syphon. I think I was born an expression... I hav.. more..
