Fate - Escaper

Fate - Escaper

A Poem by Joseph - Michael
"

There are all kind of superheroes out there, even the comic book heroes, but this kind of hero is for real.

"

The Sounds Of The Rumbling

And More Of The Crumbling...

Run, Dead Man, Run

The Death Is On The Hunt

The Time Of The Angels Have Come

For The Souls To Be Taken To The Kingdom

But This Man Has Another Thought

About The Others' Souls To Be Brought

Out Of The Unknown Light And Dark

Always Listened To His Heart

Without Asking For Some Hints

Followed His Unnerving Instinct

No Matter What Kind Of The Ride

And Allowed The Fate To Decide

But, This Time, The Options Of The Fate

Are Not Something For The Lives To Take

Believing That We Have Reasons To Live For

Even For The Lives And Loves Of The Unborn

Through Out The All-Nighters

His Life As The True Firefighter

Just Proven To Be Worthwhile

With A Lot Of Surivors To Smile

riskig our lives for another is a selfless act based upon an overwhelming sense of compassion and kindness...the gratitude that is generated from such an act is just so powerful...you capture this sentiment nicely...

...your opening words vividly set the scene...risk of their own lives to save another...fate is a transcending intervention in life.

WELL WRITTEN POETRY!

An endearing poem of people that risk their lives everyday, and the honor
we should give them. Thanks for your review AD

Neat! This is a real nice thing to write for the firefighters who risk their lives nearly everyday. I really admire how you don't quite say who the hero is until the end, only to build up during the beginning and middle of the story with a bunch of inner struggles it seems.... simply classic! I really liked this; it really gives a positive message and appreciation for those who save lives.

The way that you captured a firefighter is so compelling to me. I would have never imagined a writer could take something as simple as a firefighter and turn it into a masterpiece. This poem is brilliant, and it's strong. I love the biblical themes and those are my favorites in most writing, besides my usual drug/gothic lifestlye type themes.

That stanza summons up the entire gist of the poem. It can stand for any hero, and all heroes. Which is why it's such a great line. Wonderful and intricate.

Thank You.

This is going to my favorites.
