If

If

A Poem by Reverent

If

You only knew

Just what the hell your

Body... and my

Body could do

If

You find yourself

In the dark of night

With the covers all unfurled

I’ll tell you once, I’ll tell you well

This is the first

Of so many things

That I have always

Wanted

This is the last time

We’ll be friends again,

Could we soon be

Lovers

As we

Pass

Over skins and bones

You make me feel so

Young

And we

Kiss

With fingers crossed

I won’t leave you

Hollow

I’ll follow you down

Where the stone takes the sound

And there’s nothing but you and me

Trying harder and harder to breath

This air

You had a melody to this in your head when you wrote it. I can tell. This flows so well as a song. You get the point across without diving into smutty details. I love it. It leaves so much for the mind to fill in. It's like you've given me a skeleton to put a body on and I can change it with my mood. Loved this read

oh now this......this just set off my brain in wonderful ways. your words were running parallel with my own thoughts. you added some ideas to the boiling pot though and that's always a good thing
