Try

Try

A Poem by Reveur
"

You live once, you love once, you dive once, And then there is no going back.

"
Try I will, to start trying
After you have broken;
Not my heart, but my soul of truth.

Try I will, to start trying
After you have killed;
Not my wishes, but my hope for good.

Try I will, and try I will
After you have deserted;
Not only me, but all that connects us.

Try I will, and try I will
To hope against all lost;
Not only to prove myself but to make you see.

Try I will, without shoulder
To find out the culprit;
Not only to acquit myself but to punish the worthy.

Try I will, and you will see
To trust is to betray;
Not that the world ends then, as to believe is to pray.

Try I will, and you will know
To judge is not godly;
Not only difficult position it gives, but places them on a mirage too.

Try I will, against all odds
To prove myself to you;
Not because I want you to but I cannot stand falsity.

Then when I succeed;

Try I will and try I will,
To stop myself from reverting to you.
Not that you have lost your worthiness, but I have lost myself being worthy of you.

Try I will, to make you understand
That life cannot be retried.
You live once, you love once, you dive once,
And then there is no going back.
