Camlann

Camlann

A Poem by Pale Moon
"

A place where an event took place...

"
Camlann,
A place once filled with grass and trees,
Now filled with corpses of men in clad of iron and steel,
Broken flags and scattered swords,
The sky was red and the clouds were dark,
Silent and whisper of winds,
A blonde haired woman, clad in blue cloth and armor in steel,
On top of a hill,
Kneeling on the ground,
Her stomach wounded,
Her forehead bleeding,
With her destined blade stood on ground,
with her hands holding it as support,
She lifted her head,
A trickle of tear flowed down on her cheek,
She whispered as if in prayer,
"I shouldn't have become king."
And she mourned.

Transformation of a joyful Kingdom into a blooded battle ground is always sad to hear...indeed not every king being is happy on their throne...the responsibility we desire has a crude part of life...totally we're unknown of!
And when a lady goes through of such...no wonder how she was sore by that!
Her regrets of being a king defines the whole era....Was great to read this..
Thanks for sharing!

Regrets kills a person deep inside. It haunts the kings too. This fact has been written and expressed really well.

I know nothing about “anime” characters & I’m not a fan of living out one’s life inside the digital world of games (or whatever is done online). Even tho I started with a bias against your topic, you sold me on this idea with your sparkling descriptions with strong imagery. You actually made this scene come alive with your writing, when I would normally not be inclined to see such animated characters as some real part of anyone’s life. For a few moments, I started to see the way such games can be addictive, when a player goes so deep, gets so involved in the online characters, as you’ve shown us in your poem. Very strong writing & the overall message could go either way – in favor of living within a fantasy game or feeling sad about those who prefer to dwell there! The best writing presents tension becuz this is how life really happens (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The Fate series is a definite favorite of mine because it challenges morality and justice in unique ways. This poem definitely capture Arthuria's fear and grimace with her past. Thank you for sharing this great piece.

haha thank you! Saber Arturia is one of my favorite characters aside, Mordred, Archer and etc. :)
Powerful use of words and thoughts. The words felt true and the feel of real life and struggle. You took the reader with you. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

And king and his country and kingdom. So hard to hold onto at times. Blood battles can ensue and will happen. And blood will flow. And everything turns sour.
