Inspiration, where are you?

Inspiration, where are you?

A Story by Rhianne Ney

Inspiration where are you?
Did you hide in the....?
~wind blowing on my face?
~the nature around me?
~the babbling water in the brook?
~the birds singing above the trees?
~the rocks I kick when I'm bored?
~the smiles of people I meet?
~the arguments I have with other people everyday?
~the song I keep replaying in my Mp3?
~the guy I was captivated with?
~the anime I was addicted to?
~the classrooom where my graded life was?
~or Maybe from God above

We all feel this way (well, I do sometimes, at least) when it seems that we just can't feel inspired to (in my case write...draw, sometimes) or do whatever it is we have been gifted with. I love how you emphasized the mundane ("that anime I was addicted to?" haha! : ) ) , searching the everyday life for where inspiration might be hiding. Great last line, leaving off the question mark and any punctuation so that acknowledging God as the giver of inspiration was neither a declaration nor an interrogation, simply something that is. Well done, it was nice to read.
