My Beautiful guiding light

My Beautiful guiding light

A Poem by Rhine Wolf
"

Having lost a parent, friends and family this poem is my reminder, although we do not see them, it does not mean that they are not their for us. Close your eyes whisper their name and listen, they are there, to guide you and watch over you. Believe!

"

Here I stand alone again
It seem not so long ago
You came, lifting my pain
Making me whole,
Keeping me sane.

My hand flexes, as if to reach for yours
Only to find, you are there no more
My heart rips anew, at the thought of you
I can not hold back these tears that pour
Why did my heart need to back once more?

Here I stand alone in the room
Where you once roamed
Carefully I listen for you
Surly I can hear your voice
So sweet, so soft, so pure

My arms miss your form
I hug myself just to remind me
Of how once you for filled me
You where my Mother, of me you had need
Now you are gone, your soul freed

Here I stand alone again
Finally you feel no pain
I know you are free
Never again in my sight
But I know you there,
My beautiful guiding light

a fine write and way of keeping those you love close and within your living life. I've had sensations in the past while thinking of friends or family that my hand is being grasped or that they were "thinking of me" as I thought of them; a warmth that just enters and flowed through me; warming me.

Thanks for reminding me of those times with your poetic words!!

The reason that you feel them there, is because they are there.

Nice poem.

This is one of my favourites , really well done here love. This one was not easy to write I know. We will all miss her physical form but her spirit is with us still. Watching , guarding and guiding always. Love you more than words can say wish I could do more to take away the pain.

The loss of our loved ones (especially) a mother, is certainly not an easy cross to bear, but the load does get lighter as we continue our journey through this thing called 'life'. This is a beautiful expression of that void we feel...

Nicely done...

For someone who has lost many close and wonderful people in my life, i hear you load and clear, this is beautifully written and brought tears to my eyes.

I especially loved the last stanza, (people call it)

You have a great gift.

This poem is both heart-breaking and encouraging. Not many poems can evoke such emotion within the reader, but you manage it quite well. (: I love the idea of our deceased loved ones keeping us sane as we manage to live on without them beside us. This is really beautiful. ^___^
