To be One

To be One

A Poem by Rhine Wolf

One is nothing without the other
How can we live in a world where there is only one?
All things come in pairs, man has woman and the sun has the moon
Where is the balance?

To the Lord we come for strength and protection
To the Lady we come for guidance and nurturing

One is nothing without the other
How can we live in a world,
Where there is only a man to guide?
Where is the nurturing and grace?

The Lord is the Father, the hunter,
The protector and the sun to warm the earth
His home is the forest, the sky and the wide open plains
With him we feel protected with light, sword and shield
Through him we will survive

One is nothing without the other
How can we live in a world,
Where there is only a woman to protect?
Where is the sword and shield?

The Lady is the Mother, the nurturer,
The bearer of life and the Moon to guide us through the dark
Her home is where the hearth is, the earth, the oceans and lakes
Within her seeds are nurtured, protected and nourished
Through her we have life

One is nothing without the other
When they come together they are one
As a child needs both to be
Hence we find balance in our Lord and Lady.

This is one of the best ways the man and woman's roles have been explained or described. You you feel your emotion in this and i agree that balance is a vital part of the universe. Well written
