Bliss is Far From Here

Bliss is Far From Here

A Poem by Richard Anthony Goulart
"

This is just something that I came up with awhile ago.

"

Take me away to a place filled with grace

Honor me, the amount of love I gave, a gift

Allow me to enjoy an ignorant dose of bliss

This, from you, is all that I ask.

You took my breath away and stole my heart

Took from me and trampled it beneath your feet

Life taken from my bones, and happiness stolen

Why do you intend on continuing this enduring pain.

Every new way you torment, is another way

A different way but always ending in the same

You provoke an indefinable pain I cannot qench

Just leave me alone, let me live in peace.

That is all that I ask,yet you do not hede

Let me be, go away, take the pain and leave

Your'e unleashing the side of me that has been locked

Deep inside, your'e stirring an uncontrollable beast.

He moves and ponders as I struggle to keep him back

You continue your plot, unknowing of the evil you stir

You cannot possibly understand this fact, that eludes you

Once it is released everything you know of em is gone.

The beast is closing in as you continue your onslaught

It's getting hard to control, you throw another threat

That's it, it's loose, here it comes, finally released

Your'e done, your were warned, now your'e over.

A poem with a lot of drama and a late romantic style - good job!
