Words That are Left Unsaid

Words That are Left Unsaid

A Poem by Richard Helbert

that feeling you get
when you look across a room
and see someone whose light
is blinding
and drowns out all things around it
you know without ever saying a word
that this person must have something to say
your are drawn to them
like a magnet to iron
and yet you know
you will never speak
they are much too bright and shiny
for simple words
it would never come out right
so you just look in silent awe
and dream of the possibilities
of hearing just one word
that may change my world
instead i just dream from a far
and dream of what i would say
but these words
will remain unsaid
and life will stay the same
but their light so bright
provides my shadow life
and i am thankful for this
and no matter what
for that moment
there was a bond between us
that can never be taken away

This is a really awesome piece, I know the feeling well being the shy type of person I am. I found myself especially enjoying the piece due to where the lines stopped and started. Just felt really smooth and natural. Great Work!
