Dear You

Dear You

A Poem by Richard Bachman

Dear You,

I wish you'd
Look me in the eyes

When I say " You caused this..."

I wish you'd
Look me in the eyes

When I say "You disappointed me..."

I wish sometimes
That you were there

To comfort me...

To tell me that
None of this was ever my fault...

I just wish
We could have lived happily ever after

I just wish
That I could find out who you are...

Look you in the eyes...

Hear your voice... and
Tell you that Im alive

And that
Im okay, and that I miss you...

I hope you're
Doing fine...

I hope you know
That I still love you...

I just want
You to know that your baby boy

Is still here...
Sigh... Where you abandoned me...

I wish you
Could see what and who I have become...

... I just wish...
That I could give you that one hug...

Because you know...
I still love you...

Sincerly,
Your son
