The Rain

The Rain

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
"

Being truthful about my shortcomings

"
At this moment
In time
I find that
I am not into
Hugging
Kissing or holding
Hands
I am not into
Texting
Sexting
I find all of
That for now is
A waste of time
As for me
My visual acuity
Along with my
Celibacy
Allows
Me to see things
More clearly
My last relationship
Nearly, killed me
I suppose that
For now
The door to my
Heart is closed
Cause I have not
Found
That special someone
I can trust
Because
It is a must
That we be friends
First
As
I am still working
Through the hurt
Through the pain
I am hoping
One day again
To dance in the rain
But for now I
Have found
That it is best
To keep my feet
On the ground
At this moment
In time
I find that
I am not into
Hugging
Kissing or holding
Hands
I am not into
Texting
Sexting
I find all of
That for now is
A waste of time

I maybe boring
Cause I am not
Soaring to the sky
I am just too scared
To fly, to fly
I don't want to try
Again
For now I will
Keep my feet on
The ground
Wishing I could
Dance in the
Rain
