Burn Baltimore Burn

Burn Baltimore Burn

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
"

I am OK with rioting to a degree

"
I know why I am hated
Cause I am so opinionated
I support the ones who are
Frustrated
To a degree but listen
To me clearly
Looting and shooting
On our side of town
I have found to be ludacris
Cause the point you always
Miss
Pump your fist to this
Think logically
Cause what I see
Is that America only
Understands
Violence and money
So when I say
Burn Baltimore Burn
They all must learn
It is maybe that I am a
60's baby and
That the only way to stop
It is to hit in em in their pockets
So don't burn down the side
Of town that is the poorest
Hit em where the tourist
Spend all their money
If you mess with the revenue
They are more inclined
To listen to you
So here is what we need
To do
Against the city and the
Boys in blue
Target the Inner Harbor
And Camden Yards
Make it hard for them
To make a dollar
Watch them scream and
Holler
Watch the truth surface
Cause looting and shooting
In our neighborhoods
Serves no purpose
So learn why B'more
Needs to burn
Cause the DOJ*
Constantly allows
Them to get away
With killing black men
It is time that this comes
To an end
See for me
Nothing can be more sweeter
Than to unload my 9 millimeter
As you
Feel my rage coming from my
12 gauge shotgun
They must pay for what
They have done
As too many mothers have
Buried their sons
So we must even the
Score in B'more
So the world must learn
Why Baltimore has to burn

you definitely speak your mind...and although i don't agree with the reactions of burning and looting..it does make more sense that if they are going to do it...why to their own side of town...that really makes no sense...i like the tongue-in-cheek feel of this...the sardonic tone...

excellently done...fluid...

a write full of frustration and passion... but i have to wonder, if we hate the haters and dip ourselves in that Old Testament line of an eye for an eye, how much further to we move the cause? I'd rather be the martyr, let 'em do me in for that's no sin on my soul. You make a valid point, however, if you are gonna burn and loot anyway, do it where it hurts the most... looting and burning in one's backyard really defeats the purpose...
